back at erlanger

hey y'all..its hannah. today marked a week since i had gotten THE phone call from mom that nathan had 3 seizures at work. almost to the hour today, one week later, i got another call from my mom. she told me that nathan had been eating pizza with elizabeth at home when he started twitching a little bit. elizabeth called 911 and gave him the medicine (ativan) she had been instructed to give him if she felt like a seizure was coming on. he was transported back to erlanger and never had a full on seizure (thank you Lord, elizabeth, and ativan!) for a little while there was talk that he would be transferred to vandy this afternoon. they did another ct scan and saw no bleeding or real changes so vanderbilt has made the call to allow him to be discharged and go back home tonight.

so back to our original plan of fMRI next wednesday. they are going back home tonight and then heading back to knoxville tomorrow until the fMRI so that he will be near Dr. Abel in case this happens again. they doubled his anti-seizure medicine dose. Oh! almost forgot that we have a surgery date for 2 weeks from today on June 25 at vandy with dr. thompson.


i had texted nathan earlier today and told him i was glad he had made it home and he hadn't responded (because he was on his way to erlanger) and he finally wrote me back… glad the tumor isn't affecting his sense of humor:

we had a great dinner last night at my dad and debbie's…even had a bottle of 2007 opus one (no clue what this is, but everyone said it was a big deal) cal's aunt and uncle and cousins were kind enough to keep the kids for us so we could join them sans kiddos.

thanks everyone for the texts, calls, food, help, prayers, etc! it means so so much to us. excuse the completely scattered blog. i finally got all the kids asleep long enough to type it really quick.
